"I try to remind myself and others to keep our heads up. Unless our head is up. We cannot see the horizon. And it's the horizon that beckons us."
Burton also says he wants everyone to keep an open heart.

"If the open heart encounters love, it responds with love. If the open heart encounters hate, it responds with love."
What sort of effect does @levarburton think 'Roots' had on America?

"'Roots' was tremendously successful to opening that window of awareness. And then it was so painful that the unconscious or conscious response was to retrench."
