More official rewriting of history coming up. UK government is about to replace the official coronavirus reporting website with the one they'd been running in beta in parallel. But it looks like the old one will be gone-gone, ie no way to refer to it in future. Handy for enquiry!
One key difference: their archive of past CSV files of daily data will be axed.
Instead you'll have to go via an API, ie historic data will be off limits to the 99.99% of people (including journalists) who don't live and breathe tech.
