Hi I have Roman thought- I have been convinced for a bit that we are in the middle of his arc. We haven’t reached a low point, a serious consequence, a challenge for him and him alone yet. One of the reasons might be Bc he can bounce back from situations so well, like he slept
through the kidnapping, he had no hesitation with telling Logan the deal was bad. Even when Logan hit him, he was desperate to not have it as a thing. I think we are not going to understand how he internalizes anything until he is really pushed to face something that he can’t
just move on from. He needs to get that revealing moment because right now, we really only know he is about to bounce back. We don’t really know what the manifestation of these events are yet. We just know he leans on Gerri right now to handle them.
Gerri is giving him a guidance to take situations a bit more seriously and motivate him into action, like we saw with him going to management training, the deal with Eduard. I think he grounding force has given him that. She been able to get that out of him in a way Frank and
Kendall, who I think tried, never were. I think to actually understand Roman. That’s the heart of the relationship. It actually is the healthiest dynamic out of it because what they receive is reassurance and protection. I think it’s what Jesse means as purest of desires.
Roman wants protection and acceptance and Gerri gives that to him. Gerri wants value and he gives it to her. But bc of that, I think Roman has had it a bit easier. He has a stabilizing force and a purpose for someone besides himself. I think if we really want to get him, we
need that taken away, or his pure reliance of it, challenged.
