When you are out in the world, or perhaps Consuming Content On Architecture Websites, sometimes you are dealing with what renowned Iberian architecture scholar Dr. A. Rodrigues notably deemed "A Portuguese House."

How can one know for sure?? Here's how https://twitter.com/seanmaciel/status/1086142788884869120
Dr. Rodrigues is upsettingly undercited in English-language studies on this matter, but in her most significant work she identifies several other significant cues that go beyond my own analysis (though she does indeed place primary significance onto "four whitewashed walls:")
OTHER FACTORS TO WATCH FOR:
- the ambient fragrance of woody, Mediterranean herbs
- the presence of specific grape varieties I.e. alvarinho, antão vaz, pederna
- the figure of São José, represented in the traditional tilework of the region

this is a fantastic joke for roughly five of my followers and if you disagree you're both wrong and I have determined, using a separate flowchart, that you are probably not portuguese
