Below I explain the results... 🔥VIA MEMES!🔥
In the presence of noise, Variational Algorithms will exhibit Noise Induced Barren Plateaus!
The presence of Noise Induced Barren Plateaus can lead to the algorithm having an exponential scaling due to the required precision needed to navigate through the barren lands that are the cost landscape.
This will impose serious limitations on ansatzes whose depth grows with the problem size, such as the Unitary Coupled Clustered Ansatz (UCC), and the Quantum Alternating Operator Ansatz for some optimization problems.
There are two clear strategies to avoiding Noise Induced Barren Plateaus: reducing the noise in the device, or using ansatzes that have lower depth requirements.

Is the pendulum for the appropriate ansatz swinging again?!
