Companies want to retain millennials & Gen Z?

Create a culture that embraces the passion economy & the rise of the solopreneur.

Passion is not zero sum. Studies show having a creative passion project will increase morale, innovation and problem solving.

5 tips below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. Be clear

Call out your company’s policy on side hustles. Google led the way with their 20% time.

Moonlighting has a negative stigma. It’s your job to remove it.
2. Foster a supportive culture

Did someone build their IG following from 100 - 10,000? Ask them to lead a lunch & learn!

Learning by experience is powerful and supporting a side hustle is the new L&D program.
3. Personal brands lift ALL ships

Reframe social media as a distraction to a brand extension.

I love some brands BC of the people behind them. Allow space & support for ppl to grow personal brands. It will likely lead to new opps for cross-brand collabs, speaking opps, etc.
4. Outcomes > Output

Let’s face it. The 9 - 5 is dead. Some work until midnight while others are up at 5am.

Have clear goals, clear strategy and allow employees to optimize their day accordingly.

Suggestion: create a 10:30-3:30 core day for meetings to occur.
5. Meeting hygiene

A culture with too many meetings is a red flag.

Creators should NOT be in meetings all day.

Defend the calendar and create protocols to support it.
