Bradycardia, hypotension, and orthostasis are common. There is also significant autonomic dysfunction, attributable to excessive vagal tone, manifesting as reduction in heart rate variability. #PedsICU #PedsCICU
From a vascular perspective, energy deprivation can lead to peripheral vasomotor dysregulation, leading to the vasoconstriction, acrocyanosis, and Raynaud's phenomenon sometimes seen. #PedsICU #PedsCICU
