How to grow and get better in your design career:

1. Buy a better Laptop (Screen >> capabilities IMO)
2. Buy Extra Power Source (Gen/Inverter)
3. Engage in Design Challenges
— A real UI challenge (I don’t recommend daily UI)
— A-Z logo challenge
— Album Arts
— Cloning Designs
4. Spend your Data on Youtubes
5. Follow Designers/Design Tips Pages on Instagram, unfollow Lasisi, TUNDE Ednut, Fashion, football players and the likes
6. Uninstall Twitter and facebook from your phone, do social media from your laptop instead
7. Replace social media apps with Quora, Medium, Dribbble
8. Take break from social media except you are building a personality brand, use your precious time to learn extensively.
9. Build your confidence level by not tagging designers on twitter ...
when you just finish doing a design.
If you want review, send the link to their DM. If you tag me, I will only like and mute your post!
You can judge btw the you of last week and You of today. Measure your growth with your own heart
10. Use google you dummy. Some questions can be stupid. Can’t you find answers for yourself? You will see more!
11. You don’t need to wait for clients to give you work to have a portfolio. Use fun projects, Case studies, to make your portfolio. It doesn’t have to be perfect
12. Follow successful entrepreneurs more on twitter than designers. Trust me, this designers rant only about bad clients and how to get 250k monthly. They don’t tell you to invest in growth. They said it’s community smtin Buh it’s just a circle you need to famz to get recognition
Follow content not personality. A designer is popular doesn’t mean he have sense. Trust me, you don’t have their connect, so don’t go and famz nonsense my guy.
Follow successful stories, not TL interactions.. see yourself like someone that went to public sch, they went to private
Same logic can’t work honestly. Don’t skip classes (default processes in your design journey), it’s little by little.
We only seem better than you because you don’t know what we know. Once you discover things yourself, you become a colleague. Strive for that!
13. Have good mentors, no need of PDA. A good mentor with good experience will point you to the right direction regardless of how much he earns.

Shalom... we the junior designers will grow too ✊
14. Oh i forgot... join a small team. Doesn’t have to people in Kuda or cowrywise, or apple. Join people with vision, voluntarily, or small pay. It will help your experience and UX portfolio.

No be everything be money my guy, if you sabi, money go find you...
