A thread that ends the myth prevalent across the platform that Pochs recruitment was shit
So we first go to summer of 2015 in which at the end of season we came 5th and more importantly we knew that Kane was gonna be our main man and Soldado was shit. But we needed two strikers like any team
Poch identified two players at the beginning of the season. One was a young German striker by the name of Timo Werner at the beginning of the season. Another was a young striker by the name of Anthony Martial who had just helped Monaco reach CL Quarterfinals
(Martial hadn't signed a contract yet with his 50 million Release Clause which Utd would activate later on deadline day so he was still cheap at around May-June 2015)
All of these which I have and would describe are concrete links so I won't go linking with some random players like Van Dijk whom we were linked briefly but became good later
But in the end what we signed was Clinton fucking Njie who himself wasn't rated by many Lyon fans and he was a massive flop. Any good attacker and we would have came more nearer to Leicester
Okay thankfully we signed Alderweireld and Son and a young 5 million signing for depth purposes by the name of Dele Alli became more good than we ever thought. Came third and finally made CL since 2009/10
So with all of the other top teams in transition mode we had a golden opportunity to win a title and now I am going to describe how beautifully we fucked the chance
Kevin Wimmer a 4 million signing from Koln did stepped up crucially but he wasn't title winning level which we would get to know that season once Alderweireld got injured
The player whom Poch wanted: a young Samuel Umtiti from Lyon whom we wanted much before Barca signed him for 25 million . He himself admitted the interest
But we signed no one and Wimmer rightfully was one of our worst defenders in the 5 match run we didnt win which was one of the main reasons we didn't win the title
But the major reason we didn't win those matches was the lack of goals when Kane also got injured during that stretch of games. While thankfully Poch did managed to convince Son to stay we also needed a extra wide presence
The first name Poch wanted was: Sadio Mane

We had signed his African teammate from Southampton in Victor Wanyama who was a major success. We also had Champions League over Liverpool who didn't had even Europa and he also visited the training ground. But Levy fucked up the deal
Okay shit happens we move on to next the target Wilfried Zaha who had one of his best seasons after returning back to Palace from Manchester United in 2015/16
But then our honorable chairman when Negotiating with the Palace Chairman did the worst swapping deal by trying to swap him with Ryan fucking Mason https://twitter.com/GLC18i/status/1283760733839331332?s=20
So we did signed two attackers one was Mousa Sissoko who was actually a CM but we bought him as a RW (lol) and the another was fucking Georges Kevin Nkoudou who just had 5 goals for Marseille.

We replace Njie with an attacker worse than Njie
Thus for me if we had a much better transfer window if we had signed Umtiti and replaced Wimmee and signed a Mane/Zaha instead of fucking Nkoudou we would have won the league and the FA Cup for sure
Yet we still had the best season Tottenham ever had with 86 points which was a total good enough to win the league usually then

But after two years the core of the squad started getting to piss off for the lack of trophies or to say having an ambitious chairman
The first one was Kyle Walker who already Pep had enquired which meant he wanted to go to City

Okay fair enough Kyle you gave us good years but it's our job to replace you correctly
The player whom Poch wanted was: Ricardo Pereira. Was considered as one of the best Right Backs in the French League while playing for OGC Nice on loan from Porto. Daniel Levy was unwilling to sign him for 23.5 Millions
Instead he signed a much worse Serge Aurier for 25 million on deadline day who is now someone many fans want him sold right now

Pereira went on to join Leicester the next summer and be the leagues second best right back behind Trent Alexander Arnold
Also Poch was interested in a young winger at the ranks of Man City by the name of Jadon Sancho whose contract was expiring

Given we gave them Walker we could have used him in the negotiation deal but no Levy is a cheap cunt
Okay here comes the dreaded summer of 2018 which is the reason any sane Spurs fan should hate Levy to the core and pray whenever they go to the church, synagogue, mosque, temple, gurudwara that he should fuck off
We were interested in Tanguy Ndombele of Lyon to solve the long existing issue of replacing injury prone midfield in Mousa Dembele and Ryan Sessegnon of Fulham to solve our left back issue but both clubs didn't want to sell them. Fair play. Let's target them next summer
Think this deal isn't fault of Levy as we actually did bidded for him seriously but this is just to show how Pochs eye for talent was underrated . We wanted Frenkie much before he was an starter at Ajax
Okay now here comes to the part where I'm #Levyout

Our defender Alderweirelds contract was expiring and while majority of the fans including me wanted to give the contract to him but Poch was right to consider binning him

The replacement he had in mind: Matthijs de Ligt
de Ligt made a lot of sense given his role model was Super Jan Vertonghen and we already signed Davinson Sanchez with whom he already had formed a partnership in Ajaxs run to the EL final in 2017
What any sensible club would do-
1) Cash on Toby to United and try to get Martial or an heavy fee given the fool Woodward was

2) Get de Ligt to replace and form a good partnership subsequently

What we did-
Absofuckinglutely nothing
And now here comes to the another player. Our main playmaker Christian Dannemann Eriksen had played a lot of minutes you needed someone to reduce the creative load on him

The player Poch identified here: Jack Grealish
Villa were struggling financially after losing the playoff finals to Fulham a bid of anything above 15 fucking million would have sufficed but fucking Daniel Levy was going for less than 7-8 million or offering Onomah lololololololol
This also led to one of the most iconic moment of Spurs Twitter where an ITK beefed with Grealishs actual brother . That "allegedly" still kills me https://twitter.com/YedIin/status/1107704626445541377?s=20
On a side note I actually remember how in my summer intern at Mumbai many Utd and Arsenal fans were mocking me irl for being linked to Grealish and supporting an "unambitious club going for Championship players". How fucking wrong were they
Like Klopp wanted VVD Poch was firm on his stance that he wanted the above targeted players and his claims were fair due to his immense work

Levy was willing to give him bums like Andre Gomes and Joao Mario but Poch didn't wanted

The outcome: We signed absofuckinglutely no one
Yet Poch miraculously managed to reach a CL final by somehow managing to help Sissoko revive his Spurs career with one of the worst depths you would ever see we somehow reached a CL final which we lost unfortunately
Okay our pull power was at its peak we managed to sign two of our long term targets in Ndombele and Sessegnon and also managed to add Giovani Lo Celso after a fine season at Betis
But we didn't utilise the pull power we had briefly. The cunt Daniel Levy managed to miss out on Paulo fucking Dybala who their new manager Sarri didn't rate because he was unwilling to pay 10-15 million more https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1159401277585051649?s=20
Levy also didn't go full fledged or Saliba whom Poch seemed to highly rate and could have been a good long term partner for Davinson

He also didn't go for any right back selling Trippier though Max Aarons or Youcef Atal were our best bets https://twitter.com/mohamedbouhafsi/status/1149656459891728384?s=20
So this means Poch was only given some of the players he wanted occasionally unlike other every club where they are given every time
I forgot two players in this thread.

The first one, thanks to @iamMonac0 for reminding me was Gini Wijnaldum. Poch tried to get him but Levy failed to agree with Newcastle and Pool snapped him later
The second one was when Poch wanted Tammy Abraham when he was struggling at Swansea and except the odd Chelsea fan no one rated him. Once again he was right correct
Now I would briefly talk about the players whom Poch wanted but weren't successes at their later clubs. It would also ensure everyone sees me in an unbiased way
The first one was: Mateo Musacchio of Villareal. Poch highly rated him and wanted him when he first came though the board gave him Federico Fazio of Sevilla. Given how he panned out at Milan think he would have also been an Fazio here

La Liga/Serie A FT would know more
The second player was: Saido Berahino who had a good season at 14/15 for West Brom. While he did had a poor career subsequently it was the club and Levy's fault for not doing everything to get him. Reckon Poch would have made him a decent player
Plus we could have probably binned Lamela to Marseille if we had got both Son and Berahino at that point in 15/16 https://twitter.com/mohammedali_93/status/1168624629201719296?s=20
The third one : Michy Batshuayi who was Marseille top scorer but we failed to negotiate and subsequently Chelsea swooped him where he flopped massively

But given that he scored 5 goals in 11 apps for Crystal Palace safe to say he would have done more than the poof Janssen
Thus the above examples show that Pochs recruitment was one of the best in the league He identified talent much before they were WC. Only Klopp has had superior recruitment skills
One of the biggest ironies is I have seen Poch having an inferior recruitment by Mourinho stans. The same Mourinho

1) Who binned Kevin de Bruyne and Mohamed Salah because they weren't good

2) Who spent the same amount as of Pep only to leave much Manchester United much worser
In the end yes Poch should have been sacked because he was tired of Spurs or he was tapped up by any other team but why those circumstances were created because Daniel fucking Levy is the second worst chairman in the whole league who should be brutally thrashed. He is a big cunt
And I am not gonna spare Joe Lewis also you 81 year old cunt you live in the Bahamas the tax haven and shag girls quarter of your age and you spent more on the scam called modern art then buying players you fool
Poch saw correctly that Dier wasn't good enough for the club and started to play less of him, he knew Lucas and Kane were never gonna exist like oil and water and started playing less of Lucas. Yet they sacked Poch to appease shit players like those two and some fans agreed ffs..
My only big doubt tactically on Poch was why he played Winks as a DM we werent even linked to one post Wanyams decline except for Wilmar Barrios. Winks did stepped up and is just behind Jorginho in few metrics tbf
But this rumour struck me . If this is true then Poch already started trying to get him.A Camavinga slowly adapting to PL and Winks/Skipp playing till then would have been ideal

This rumours isn't as reliable and proven as the above ones btw https://twitter.com/HotspurHacker/status/1164629389193207809?s=20
To those who don't know Camavinga is the Mbappe of all defensive midfielders a sureshot prospect

If this is true I genuinely hope Daniel Levy dies in his sleep and suffers a cardiac arrest, stroke and hemorrhage at the same time
So my conclusion is:

Poch was one of our best managers and Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis failed him miserably. If he had his own way we would have created a legacy

I would like to see him at a team where the chairman actually backs and supports him for once
Thanks for reading hope you had a good time
