Then there's the misery of spending hours to and from work. In an extreme case a colleague and friend woke up daily at 5:30am in Essex for a 9am start in Canary Wharf. Back home at 9-10pm. His wife and children he only saw at weekends. Put yourself in his shoes.
For the many office workers in similar situations, working from home has been a blessing. It only makes sense to bring people back to offices if productivity and performance suffer, but it seems they don't. Working from home is the future.
