Since I just beat it, I wanna talk about assassins’s creed 4 for a few tweets
So the story was probably my favourite part. I kinda expected a semi bland protagonist going in, yet Edward was so well written with his character going through so much change at a huge cost.

And even with that amazing story, there’s the gameplay itself with the fun ass stealth aspect and the best ship to ship combat I’ve seen in a pirate game. The music itself was also damn good, especially the shanties since they were fun as hell to listen to
I think the major problem would ofc be the huge amount of sidequests filler that bumped my playtime up from 15 hours to about 40 hours in playtime. I got a solid 93% by the end, but it didn’t really feel worth it. I’m kind of glad that I did it, but I’m not gonna do 100% now
Overall, I’d give it a solid 8 or 8.5, shit was really fun and I’m glad I finally got round to playing it. I’ve played a ton of games this year, but it’s probably one of the more addicting games I’ve played so far. I’m hoping this might get an HD remaster in a few years too
