If you didn't get to the Infinite Entangled Futures: Indigenous Voices in Conversation panel, I highly recommend watching when it is available on replay.

So glad the late push was made to include it on the programming.

Massive props to @MelHardingShaw and @JCHart who fought really hard for the Infinite Entangled Futures panel, as well as inclusion of marginalized creators on #Worldcon programming. There shouldn't have to be BUTS to these great panels, BUT marginalized creators are burned out 2/
BUT they are tired of being asked to be the "Diversity Hire" for cons. BUT they don't feel welcome because of systemic racism built into cons. BUT the communications with Hugo finalists and marginalized creators was bad. BUT open letters had to be written again 3/
BUT all these problems were another layer during an epidemic, during race riots, during lock down, during threats to lives and livelihood, during a year where the mental bandwidth for One More Zoom Panel can be too much for people asked to do the heavy lifting EVERY TIME 4/
There needs to be fundamental changes baked into the Worldcon structure. There was expertise in inclusion and accessibility offered months, YEARS ago, but they were ignored.

Marginalized people HAVE done the work to make Worldcon a place for everybody. 5/
It's now on WSFS & white/able/cis fans, creators, and concoms to commit.

If saying these *basic* *said before* things gets me in trouble because I'm adjacent to this year's Worldcon, to making the kiwi scene better? Shrug. I guess I'm forever That Bitch.

Tired of the Buts.
