Shree Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple is located at Mangalore, Dakshin Kannada District Of karnataka State India.
Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha. The temple is about 800 years old. The name Sharavu is derived from the word 'Shara' which means arrow and has an interesting legend attached to it.

The word Sharavu means an arrow. According to legend, Maharaja Veerabahu of Tuluva region killed a cow with an arrow by mistake. In order to erase the sin, the king installed a Shivlinga which is now worshipped as Sharabeshwara.
