The police fully believe it is their god-given right to brutalize and kill.
They believe any infringement on that right is heresy.
As such, their position is that NOT killing civilians is a FAVOR.

Like. If you were hiring security for your home.
Would you make provisions for them to kill your family members if they personally felt it reasonable?

Would you also work into the contract that they could fund their day to day activities by mugging members of your family?
Would you attach a rider that gave them immunity for any crimes they commit against you while in your employ?
Would you sign a contract that stated that if the security personnel decides to assault members of your family, that there is a lengthy and arduous process to terminate their services?
Would you feel safe if you knew that the security agent assigned to you murdered the last family he was hired to protect?
Cause if your answer to these are "No" then I'm waiting to hear your justification for the latitude we give police?
