Credentialism, cultural capital, desirability, generational wealth, networks, and other unfair advantages, always factor into access and perceived credibility––even among the multiply minoritized.

You can't opt into or out of privilege, or disown it.
That's precisely why I'm intentional about amplifying, promoting, & putting on others who face barriers I don't.

I'll share any contacts or tips to get you booked or published. I'll be a job reference, edit pitches, e-intro you to anyone, write letters of rec, etc. Just ask.
I'm also more than willing to admit how privilege has factored into my path/trajectory, and I'm receptive to pushback, based on perceived oversights or shortcomings (e.g. implicit biases, respectability, etc.)

Performing an unattainable level of wokeness isn't my M.O.
However, I won't accept getting mercilessly scrutinized, torn down, invalidated, and scapegoated, as retribution for every denied opportunity or instance of gatekeeping one has endured.
There's a difference between holding space for someone's frustration, insecurity, rage, resentment, etc.––and being an exploited trauma mule/receptacle.

This isn't at all about sugarcoating truths or tone-policing, but rather folks owning the motive of their critique/scrutiny.
