A great test of this to see if it’s a legitimate title-look @ youth & children’s job. If both shepherd students (+ families), they should have the same title, whatever you choose. Is one just expected to schedule volunteers and copy curriculum? Then its a different title.
I can understand and appreciate scriptural arguments re: women not in pastoral/ministerial positions. But if that’s your stance, make sure it’s not in name only but also in job function.
Reminds me of a certain highly esteemed pastor who has said he will not sit under a woman’s teaching but will read it because he can pretend it’s not a woman. If you truly believe God has not ordained women to teach THIS MAKES NO SENSE.
