The old Etobicoke city hall 1957 is very nice. High mod, Indiana limestone. Lovely sunken jungle windows. As you can see from the cornerstone, metro Toronto has been waffling over the Gardiner for a long time. – bei Etobicoke Civic Centre

A defunct fountain. While it is true many politicians from Etobicoke are historically cheap, defunct fountains are common to all Toronto. Built it & they will neglect it. – bei Etobicoke Civic Centre
The old council chamber. Local politics in the round. Lush nooks. Little veranda for mid century cigarettes & whispered discussions of local Bolshevik insurgency.
People should get married under this arch.

Good details here too. Concrete forms. Bays for the lights. The inside is wild, but another time. One building the TDSB doesn’t neglect.
