Arsenal do have the money to pay Thomas Partey's €50m release clause, but they do not want to spend that much on one player as they intend to reinforce several areas of the team. ( @Dvinuesa)
Dani Ceballos will stay at Arsenal for ‘another season’, with the deal to extend his loan from Real Madrid ‘almost done’. (AS)
Real Madrid want to ‘make cash’ from Ceballos’ loan deal & are likely to ask for a good loan fee & maybe even a compulsory purchase option, while a return to Real Madrid would be complicated as the player doesn’t have a good relationship with Zidane. (AS)
Dani Ceballos is close to extending his loan at Arsenal for another season. Arsenal don’t have the finances to buy him outright, however, Real Madrid will earn a loan fee and have a chance to sell him to the Gunners next summer. ( @TimesSport)
If Arsenal are unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Thomas Partey, they will look to Roma’s Amadou Diawara. AS Roma want at least €30m for the 23-year-old but Arsenal value him at less. ( @danieletrecca)

Arsenal did insert a purchase option on an additional year in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract. This technically granted Arsenal the ability to unilaterally extend Aubameyang’s deal by a further 12 months, if they meet certain financial conditions. ( @TheAthleticUK)
There was an agreement that activating this clause suited nobody. For Arsenal, the financial conditions would have been punishing. For Aubameyang, this summer is the right time to sign a deal that will offer him a degree of security. ( @TheAthleticUK)
