If you have been following me aince rhe beginning you know we have discussed the issues in AC before
This was not unforeseen
It was always going to be challenging
The Govt knew that
They sent out guidelines to AC

A guideline is a piece of paper
Follow up ensuring the guideines were understood, could be enacted and were adequate was essential

Supervised simulations had to be run in facilities
PPE stores shipped regionally ready for immediate deployment

A command structure of regional supervisiors trained in infection control to implement procedures and run sims, assist with local planning, liaise with group management and act as a point of contact the instant a positive case arose

This should really already exist but could have been stood up in March

There is no effective command and control structure

Now there is a crisis, the state and private health care system is the default fall back

Even that was not a planned reponse but a crisis action
