OK, I have watched this frustrating Kielburger WE testimony. They are bad at answering questions. MPs are bad at asking questions. And I don't think I have learned anything from this. For the love of god, a good cross examination could have done a lot more...
Take the Margaret Trudeau evidence - she was paid, she was only paid after her son was elected PM. It should be easy to connect the dots, despite her compelling personal experiences, that she was booked (and paid) because her son was PM. This should not be hard to lock down.
Or the financial benefit to WE. FFS obviously not a billion dollar bailout. That is ridiculous. But equally ridiculous is the contention there was no benefit to WE. Because millions to administer is a benefit (pays staff, rent, etc..). How is it that this was not laid out clearly
Bottom line, grandstanding opposition questions, terrible. Liberal softball questions, terrible. WE pity party answers, terrible. This testimony is not going to help anyone - not WE, not the position, not the government, and certainly not the public.
