So it’s time for another one of my famous “here’s why this is racist and don’t be like this douchebag” threads. Brought to you by this creature who was kind enough to leave these comments on my TL a mere hour before I told him off and blocked him. Let’s begin:
1. As you see, the wild 𝘙𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴 will claim that you can’t call them racist because you don’t know them personally.

Here’s the thing: if you say racist shit, you’re a racist. There’s no such thing as saying racist things and NOT truly believing it deep down.
Someone doesn’t need to know you beyond your comments to be able to respond to shitty shit you say. If a racist says this to you, remind them of this. If you are the one saying this, quit it. You said something shitty. They don’t have to sleep with you to know what it means.
Anyway. 2. Your Black friends don’t prove your aren’t racist, or that you’re right. That is, if they even exist. You can be friends with Black people and be racist. And your Black friends agreeing with your bullshit are outnumbered by countless others who disagree. Retire this.
3. TALKING ABOUT RACISM AND DESCRIBING SHIT THAT HAS BEEN DONE IS NOT HATEFUL. The shit that’s said is hateful. Racism is hateful. But saying “hey, White people say this to me” isn’t causing a divide, and it’s not racist just because the word “White” is in it.
Let’s face it: if you get mad when people bring up shortcomings of White people in their lives, you’re uncomfortable, and you’re mad because you’re uncomfortable. Which is a you problem, so don’t tell people who are speaking their truths to be quiet so you don’t have to feel bad.
4. “If you don’t like it, go back where you came from.” Firstly, I was born and raised here. Assuming I wasn’t because of my skin color is...woof.

And secondly, I love this country more than you if this is your reaction. Because I want to fix shit, not ignore it.
Learn to take criticisms of this country. Learn to accept that it hasn’t been great to EVERYONE, because it hasn’t. And trying to shut us up by gaslighting us isn’t going to change that.
And finally 5. Referring to us as “animals” or suggesting we can’t handle ourselves when we’re all together is disgusting. You’re literally using verbiage people used about slaves and people as recent as MLK. The same MLK you love to quote now to try to undermine race talk.
In closing, don’t be this guy. Don’t use this verbiage. Get comfortable with your own discomfort, and stop blaming us for the fact that you never thought about these things before. If it sounds like I’m pissed, I am. And I have every right to be.

This shit gets old fast.
