The influence of Clive Barker's Hellraiser on Berserk, a thread;
Okay, so to start off with we have the Godhand and Cenobites. Both are collectives of transcendental entities consisting of 4 members, 3 of which are male and 1 of which is female. Both are clad in leathery, gothic attires and both are prone to sacrifices.
The Behelit is Berserk’s interpretation of the Lament Configuration, being the only method to summon the otherwise elusive Godhand (Cenobites).
When the Godhand make their appearance, we see them in an Escher-like maze akin to The Labyrinth as depicted in Hellraiser.
The Idea of Evil as seen in God of the Abyss (2) is reminiscent of the Leviathan as depicted in Hellraiser. A giant singularity possessing consciousness and ordering the Godhand (Cenobites)
To be made into a Cenobite you have to be considered worthy by the Leviathan, just as you have to be chosen by destiny to become a member of the Godhand.
Ubik's design is most likely directly inspired by Butterball
