The notion that the Western canon should be taught less, or should come with trigger warnings, is unusually silly. Of course other canons should be taught too (i.e. Muslims!), but we do live in the West so it's understandable that the Western canon would figure prominently
And the idea that the Western canon isn't part of my heritage because I'm brown is absurd and patronizing. If you're American and you live in the West, then the Western canon is yours. If they were smart and had something useful to say, I could care less about their skin color
