EXC Boris Johnson has launched the search for a new £100,000-plus a year spokesman to become the face of the Government in televised press conferences from this Autumn.
A job ad asks for someone to "communicate with the nation on behalf of the Prime Minister".
Apply by Aug 21.
The successful applicant is likely rapidly to become a household name when they start to answer questions at regular press conferences at 9 Downing St from October addressing what are expected to be large TV audiences on news channels, social media and YouTube.
Mr Johnson wants to build on the success of the Government’s coronavirus press briefings, which until late last month were broadcast each day from 10 Downing St to millions of Britons.

The salary will be "based on experience" but it is expected to be well over £100,000 a year.
