With the Vice President visiting a private school about five minutes from my house tomorrow, I've been doing a lot of thinking about how nice it would be if our federal government spent as much time promoting and supporting our public schools as they do promoting private schools.
There was a time -- and it wasn't even that long ago -- when we all stood behind the notion that public schools make our communities stronger.
Now, leadership at the highest levels are looking for ways to undercut our public schools.
That is something we are going to regret 10 years from now.
