So. Concept is (this is gonna be pretty long...):
Everytime you break someon'es heart, you earn a scar. "break someone's hear" sounds exaggerated, but it's the best phrase I've got right now. Really though, it's not a hard thing to gain scars at all. You can even gain them-

-from strangers who are sensitive enough.
And with getting scars, it doesn't necessarily have to be dealing with anything romantic. If you hurt someone's feelings enough, a scar will appear.

-your best shot is just to guess, and when you yourself feel hurt by someone, you won't really know if you've given them a scar. The scars just kind of appear without warning.

-anything to do with it. If you gain too many scars, the ones you have will shrink to make room for more; that's all.
Most scars stay forever, but scars can and do fade over time. If a scar isn't that deep, it can fade over time, it just takes a while.

Scars don't leave easily, so the ones that do take from around twenty to forty years to completely vanish.
There's another way to get rid of scars though. That's through fixing what you did. Of course, there isn't a way of knowing who leaves scars and why they left them,

but even so, if you mend what you did wrong to a person, the scar will go away.
Any person can leave more than one scar on another person. There's no limit.
Now on to the actual HCs,,,

Now on to the actual HCs,,,
1. Madoka and Misumi have scars both from each other and from their parents. The ones from each other don't seem as deep as before lately, though...
2. Masumi's parents have deep scars everywhere from him, and they only grow in number. Neither of them has any idea where they come from, and they both hide them with makeup.
During what Masumi's father pulls in ( Act 5 spoilers ? ) Act 5, he gains more.

3. Masumi himself is covered in scars, not nearly as many as his parents, but still quite a lot. He gets lots of not-so-good looks from people because of it, but honestly couldn't care less.
4. Juza rarely ever gets any scars, but when he does he gets really insecure and anxious about it, and panics. He wants to stay as scar-free as possible, though that's nearly an impossible thing to ask for... It's easy to unintentionally hurt someone's feelings, unfortunately.
5. Tenma gains a lot of scars when he joins Mankai, and they only grow in number. He doesn't admit it, but they make him very anxious. It doesn't help that he has no way of knowing how or who they're from. Eventually it gets to the point where he cries whenever he spots a new one
It takes a while, but most of them are gone by the time Natsugumi puts on their first run through of the Water Me! play.
He's secretly so relieved he could cry, except this time tears of joy. And he does, cry, but only alone. He vows from then to stay as scar free as possible.

6. More optimistic people like Sakkun, Kyu, Taichi, and Kazu get really scared when they see new scars. They don't get them often, but like most, they try to stay scar-free and literally will cry when they see new ones.
7. Sakyo and Izumi have scars from each other, deep ones, but when they meet again, and especially when Sakyo starts helping Izumi out with Reborn Mankai, they start to fade...
8. (BTW, I haven't read Act 3 yet, so sorry if there's stuff I'm missing)
Yukio has one, really deep scar from Izumi.
...Even while there's no way to 100% know, he's sure it's from her, and the guilt eats him up inside at times.

9. Sakuya has left scars on every family member he's been forced to live with.
10. tw // death ( Act 5 spoilers )
When August dies, he leaves a giant scar on both Chikage and Hisoka, and they're identical, though no one really looks into that.

11. Banri used to always see gaining scars as a challenge. He'd be a jerk, just for the sake of gaining more. He had no real passion before, anyway, so he'd do it in attempt to spark somethin' in him, though it never did work...
After joining Mankai, he realizes how much of-

-an ass he was being all his life, and for nothing. It starts to eat him up inside, to the point where he silently cries one day, but Akigumi find him, and ask him what's wrong.
After telling them everything, and how guilty he feels, they comfort him and in the end,-

-they all have a group sleep together, bodies draped over each other.
Well, they're family. That's what they are.

12. ...Juza is constantly giving people around him scars. Students at his school and just around, start noticing and get confused. Then a rumor starts, that he's "cursed" or something, because wherever he goes he ends up giving people around lots of scars, when there's "no-
reason to", even though there is. People avoid him, because of that, and think he's a bad omen of sorts, when really he's just hurt that he's so alone...
