hell yes... reliable, accessible public transit is sparse in this area of east side. we just don't have the same access it seems the rest of the city does. light rail + branches reach everywhere but over here

like (before SAH) i woulda loved to spend less on gas + car expenses by using public transit
not when its gonna take me over an hour and transfers to get to work thats < 30 mins by car in morning traffic tho

which means typically economically worse off ppl in the city have to pay way more out of their own pockets to save their own damn time. since cars are so expensive to have, use and maintain
also... being poor stresses folks out. stressed-out ppl drive like ass.
having to deal with with inconsiderate / distracted drivers, daily, compounds that stress
and so many ppl pushed into car-commuting, makes traffic worse
makes one wonder how much of it is by design
