On the 20th of August, 2015, Chelsea snapped up the signature of the signature of the Spanish forward for an estimated fee of £21 million. The 28 year-old agreed a four-year deal with the Blues and was the second signing in less than a week for the club.
At the time of the signing, Pedro was receiving heavy interest from rivals Manchester United. Following the signing, Pedro said “I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles.”
Pedro debuted against West Bromwich Albion in August 2015. Immediately, the Spaniard endeared himself within the Chelsea faithful, scoring one and assisting another in a 3-2 away win. Mourinho’s decision to start Pedro came as a surprise as it was a mere 4 days after signing.
The Spaniard would have to patiently wait 3 months for his opening goal at Stamford Bridge, in front of the Chelsea folklore. On the 19th of December, Pedro scored the second goal in a 3-1 win over Sunderland. It was significantly the first game after the sacking of Mourinho.
On the 13th of February, Pedro scored his first brace for the club in a 5-1 emphatic thumping of Newcastle United. His second brace was added only a couple of months later on April the 2nd, in a 4-0 win over a struggling Aston Villa side.

On the 23rd of October, Jose Mourinho made his famous return to Stanford Bridge. In that game, Pedro opened the scoring within 30 seconds - the fastest goal of the 2016/17 campaign. The game ended in an emphatic 4-0 win over bitter rivals Manchester United.
Following the win, Pedro was a clear supporter of Antonio Conte’s actions on the touchlines, which was reportedly accused by Jose Mourinho. A couple weeks later on the 5th of November, Pedro scored the 5th goal and set up another 2 in a 5-0 thumping of Everton.

This was a significant season in Chelsea’s recent history. It was the first in 22 years without club legend John Terry at the helm - as he departed on a free transfer to Aston Villa. In the Community Shield, Pedro was sent off in a 4-1 loss on penalties to Arsenal.
Therefore, as a result of his red card, he was suspended for the first game of the season - which saw Chelsea lose 3-2 against Burnley. Despite a 12 minute cameo against Tottenham, Pedro provided Marcos Alonso’s winner in a 2-1 win at Wembley.
The Spanish international’s first goal of the season came in a 4-0 away win over Stoke. It was new signing Alvaro Morata’s first hat-trick for the club. A month later in October, Pedro would score a stunning strike and assist another in a 4-2 win over fellow Londoners Watford.
In the 6th round of the FA Cup, Pedro once again proved the instant impact he could have. He was subbed on in the 92nd minute against Leicester in what was a tightly contested matchup. Pedro was able to deliver and score the eventual winner to send Chelsea to the semi-final.
At the end of what proved to be a rather underwhelming and disappointing 2017/18 campaign, Pedro was able to pick up yet another piece of silverware for the Blues. He won the FA Cup to add to his illustrious and decorated resume of trophies.

In what was the Spaniard’s final season at the club under new boss and club legend Frank Lampard, his game time considerably decreased. However his lack of game time demonstrated how good of a professional he was, which is a testament to the man he is.
His only goal of the Premier League campaign came in a demolishing 4-0 win over Everton, where he also provided an assist. Recently against Wolves, it was revealed that Pedro played his final game for the club. He is set to join AS Roma next season.
