Ok @midnightchow, @MrsCasey6 , @elisa1179 @1YoungProdigal here is the thread of YouTube playlists of NutNFancy(don't know his real name), former airforce who does extensive backpacking trips, gear reviews and has developed i think, reasonable philosophies for emergencies.
@kbeehattie as well
This 1st one is general preparedness in terms of supplies, with important videos on water, first aid and BOK(bug out kits) as well as discussions on whether to stay put or 'bug out' and what that means for your plans and supplies. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfV84guhCM5VGUHjqbJ4OfQiiUuHOZbfY
I'd say the water video and the videos pertaining to whether or not you should 'bug out' are the most important in this playlist.
Talks on how to be prepared & have the right mindset if a day comes when you know police or ambulance service won't be coming. Dispels fantasies some have about these situations. Ethical engagement of hostile people, forming micro societies, etc. Think this is what Chow wanted
Talks about open carry in certain areas for purposes of dissuading possible violence, protecting your gun if doing so, and videos on concealed carry and best practices philosophy of use etc.
