A thread on antisemitism and white supremacy. It's become a trope on the Jewish left that "anti-Semitism is deeply rooted in white supremacy" (direct quote from a left-wing rabbi today) so we should focus our attention on that, and not Farrkahn, Islamists, etc. This is ignorant.
Russian and Soviet antisemitism, the latter of which still reverberates on the far left, wasn't rooted in White supremacy. Nazi antisemitism was rooted in German/Aryan supremacy, but not white supremacy. Islamist antisemitism is not rooted in white supremacy.
Christian supercessionist antisemitism is not rooted in white supremacy. Farrakahn's black nationalist antisemitism is not rooted in white supremacy. Leftist Jews *want* antisemitism to solely be about white supremacy so they can give antisemites on the left a pass, and focus on
"allyship" with other groups that are threatened by white supremacy. But while white supremacists are a real threat (in the US not so much from numbers as from violence), to play down all the other forms of antisemitism, which exceed the white supremacist version is ideologically
driven nonsense, and dangerous nonsense at that.
