The police and city (and the media who just repeat what they say) have proven time and again that information about the composition of the protests/riots can absolutely not be trusted. A better question than "who is this?" is "who do you want this to be and why?" https://twitter.com/StarTribune/status/1288145768839290880
Some people have pushed the line that this guy or many others who supposedly destroyed property are "definitely cops" or "for sure white supremacists." Why? Can you really not think of historical moments when destruction of property was part of a political and social movement?
The "evidence" provided so far is moot, less than nothing. The "evidence" the city offered before that white supremacists infiltrated the riots was walked back and admittedly a lie. Why are so many so sure this is any different? What ends does this narrative serve?
Those on the left, just as much as the right, have proven themselves very much willing to make huge inferences, leaps in logic, and propagate clear distortions of the perceptible evidence to see what they want to see. Wait a while and think about strategy/motive before commenting
Even if it turns out to be true, what real difference does one make? Do you forget that literally 100s of buildings burned and thousands were damaged? If you think roving gangs of outsiders were running around doing all this, we simply don't live in the same city (or world).
