This is another well written article on 3HO that focuses on Sikhi and Yogi Bhajan’s craven use of it as a sort of product. It misses the mark by creating blanket statements about members’ ideology. I know the author had my number but I didn’t get a call. https://www.thejuggernaut.com/kundalini-yoga?s=ckd56zjoe01h90718bfnharch&fbclid=IwAR3NTjec7NMIAmR89xErpeGQ5jh-x1aafpgmXYUIoJqTRkcsO5URDKikcn8
The questions it raises are valid regardless. Though I feel that the writers analysis would be helped by more Franz Fanon and less Robin DiAngelo. The problems of 3HO are white American problems.
I fear too narrow of a view will result in the creation of another sensational cult story to be marketed and commodified itself. As opposed to a story about authoritarianism, colonialism, patriarchy and the overarching structures that govern ALL of our lives.
Without this deeper analysis - where do you go? What is the vision to move forward and right the wrongs committed? How do we enact justice?
