So, last week I did a bit of a poll about reviewing. I wouldn’t call it a massive sample size or completely unbiased but it was interesting. Here’s the results...
Not exactly a deal breaker as I’m a reviewer so I would expect followers would read reviews ... nice to see though!
So some people answered this one anyway and I have to say it was a little disheartening.... lots of people don’t want to try new authors unless a friend recs them but no one is reading to recommend them. Bit of a viscous circle. I want to do more on this one
This one is not a shock to me at all. Prices of eBooks are definitely going up and I have both a limit to what I will spend on an eBook and a budget for the month.
This one shows me what I already knew ... Social media is powerful but fleeting so GR was a good second best. I’ve started to use my GR more.
See, I feel that my reviews are often the least visited of all my posts but the results were overwhelmingly about reviews...
And lastly, this one was not a surprise and I do exactly the same. If I hear about a new book, on here or for the Top Picks post, I look at it’s GR reviews ... as do the majority of the people here. No one searched a blog for one ...
