2 weeks ago I applied for an experienced MSK role that required at least 3 years post grad experience which I didn’t have (I graduated last year). I received a rejection a day later, which is what I expected.
A few days after that, I received a call from the company owner and he explained how he was looking through the rejected applications, and that mine stood out to him...
So we had a phone interview which led to him inviting me down to the clinic on one of the interview days. I attended the interview, and walked out convinced I hadn’t got it as I was up against people with 10+ years experience in the field, including Physiotherapy managers.
Last week I received a call offering me the role. They explained that I didn’t have as much clinical experience as they would like, but that my personality was the perfect fit for their company.
