Texas is 48%!!!

Our shelters& continuum of care modeled systems are already overburdened. I know because we’re trying to work w/ currently unsheltered folks w/o policing them. I’m still not understanding what is so difficult about a housing first model. Political will is often the barrier to getting anything meaningful done.

We needes rent & mortgage cancellation in March. We needed a housing first model years ago.
Furthermore, the $600/week enhancement to unemployment benefits ends THIS FRIDAY. Nearly 25% of jobs don’t exist anymore. Folks have said there are no affordable housing options for YEARS w/o a pandemic.

Right before cold & flu season? With COVID in the mix? Y’all...
