@flo_dix reported that at least 12 people were arrested in #Egypt in the past four months because of the crackdown on TikTok content producers, mainly young women.
Three men (Mohammad AbdelHakim Zaki, Mohammad Alaaddin Mousa and Ahmad Sameh Atiyeh) were also arrested and tried in court for helping the influencers (Mawada al-Adham and Haneen Hossam) publish content on the platform and build up an audience.
I wrote about Haneen Hossam's arrest in April. You can read more about her case here: https://english.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2020/4/23/hijabi-egyptian-tiktok-star-arrested-for-inciting-debauchery
