1/ Here are a few tips that have really helped me feel more productive, relieve stress, and improve my mental health

2/ Break down your goals into actionable steps that encourage productivity & efficiency.
Instead of, “I’m going to clean the entire house today.” break them down into smaller, individual tasks.
“First, I’ll take out the trash.“
After you complete one, start another.

3) Your brain doesn’t understand the word “don’t.”
If someone says “don’t think of a pink elephant,” what do you think of? A pink elephant.
Reframe your thinking.

4/ Create some sort of task tracker.
Whether it’s a to-do list, notepad, or something similar, seeing a task written out is much more motivating than a fleeting thought in your head.

5/ Get up & be “active” to start everyday.
You don’t have to run a marathon but the simple act of getting out of your bed & going somewhere else (outside, exercise, even your couch) helps kickstart your body for the day.

6/ Self-reflection.
Do you really have work to do at home or are you just avoiding an obligation?
This is something I’ve felt myself do a lot. I would use the cop out of “Ive got to finish some work. Sorry I can’t,” when in reality, I didn’t actually *need* to do anything.

7/ Taking care of yourself & your appearance.
These can be simple things — taking a daily shower, trimming your beard, doing a face mask, up keeping your appearance, etc. — all of these simple tasks can help you feel better physically & mentally.

8/ Creating a realistic daily routine.
It can be as simple as a sleep/wake schedule that you stay consistent with, but creating a routine allows your body & mind to rest knowing what is coming next.

9/ Understand that therapy isn’t just for severe mental health issues.
Everyone should feel comfortable going to therapy, whether you feel something is important or not.
Oftentimes, the simple act of a third-party hearing your thoughts helps more than you could imagine.
