Sunnah things to do on Eid Al Adha

1. You should try to wake up earlier than usual
2. Brush your teeth a Miswaak
3. To make ghusl
4. Get dressed into your best clothes (does not necessarily have to be newly bought)
5. To use Attar (Perfume)
6. To perform the Eid prayer in an open ground (Eidgah)
7. Avoid eating anything until after the Eid UL-Adha prayer
8. Get to the place of the Eid prayer early
9. To walk to the place of Eid prayer, if possible, as with each step is indeed a reward
10. To read the 'Takbeerat' on the way and back from the Eid Ul-Adha prayer aloud and throughout the day

Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, la ilaha illallahu
wallahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahi’l-Hamd
11. To take a different route to and from the prayer
12. To pray Eid Ul-Adha early
13. It is Mukruh to pray voluntary prayers before or after the Eid prayer, however it is Sunnah to pray two rak'ahs Nawafil prayer upon reaching your home
14. To offer the Udhiya (Qurbani). Sacrificing the Udhiya is confirmed sunnah
15. The Khutba of both Eids are sunnah however listening to them is waajib (compulsory). It is forbidden to walk around, talk or even make salah whilst the khutbah is progress.
16. to congratulate one another and greet each other with the following greeting :

“Taqabbal Allaahu minna wa mink (May Allaah accept (this worship) from us and from you).”
