I’m endorsing @joekennedy because there is no one more committed to you than he is. He is in this business to bring you to the forefront and change government so that it hears your voice. The voice you have always had, but that may, for too long, have gone ignored.
He isn’t interested in just representing you in Washington or taking a meeting from you there. He’s interested in coming to your community, to your home, to your place of work. To hear from you on your terms.
What makes Joe different than his opponent is his unwavering commitment to you. He’s strong on policy, his leadership skills are clear. He does the work and pulls the long hours in Washington and here at home. But ultimately what he cares most about is you.
I know this from 15 years of knowing him better than most. He’s an amazing partner and a wonderful father - but the pandemic is the most time we’ve spent together in a long time - because his calling is public service.
I know this also from working for more than a decade in social justice movements. (For me, this work has largely focused on women’s rights and equality.) Markey is fine on these issues, sure, but Joe is a champion and a leader. He shows up - he listens, he acts.
Progressive groups ask JOE, not Markey, to keynote their events, their rallies, because he is sincere in his commitment to their causes. And he does it for the people who need their voices uplifted - not for show, not for press.
It’s Joe who has been asked by this country’s leadership to use the state of the union rebuttal to remind America what its values are. It’s Joe who was asked by colleagues around the country to come to their districts and validate their candidacies. And Joe showed up, every time.
Now Joe needs you to show up for him. Vote by mail, vote early, vote on Sept 1 - vote for @joekennedy. Know that if you do, you’ll have him in your corner forever.
