2/ Earlier, #EIA2020draft was only shared in हिन्दी & English. Later, Delhi High Court
@moefcc to translate it to 22 regional languages & circulate in 10 days.
The ministry delayed, was then prompted by K'taka HC & now argues it is not legally obliged to do so!

3/ I don't know if those translations will materialise
I DO know that some very committed volunteers believed in local outreach, translated our #EIA critique +a short template into 10 vernacular languages so more can write to @moefcc to #WithdrawEIA2020

Countless citizens who would be most affected by #EIA2020 don't speak English, need to know what's at stake & may not be in a position to send comments.

Meanwhile, the K'taka HC is not pleased with the centre's stand, & in light of this will decide on 5th August whether they will stay the #EIA2020.
The deadline for comments remains 11th August - please do share widely, & write to the MoEF demanding they #WithdrawEIA2020!
