I really don’t have anything against BBN but I feel the show doesn’t select the right contestants to be in the house. 9/10 of people in the BBN house are all made people. Folks with affluence, fame, a firm fan base and great deal of assets. Let’s take last year’s BBN for example.
•Isilomo is an HR manager in a big firm.
•Avala studied music and business at New York Queens college.
•Seyi is Awolowo’s fucking grandson.
•Mike is a CEO and a professional athlete. He owns the first black owned cigar line in the UK.
•And let’s not even talk about Jackye, a software engineer who led her team to win a contract to build a Fintech app for one of the biggest companies in Africa.
The list continues......
Now see? These people all have something in common. Very fat bank accounts! Which makes it clear that BBN is wired to favor only the high and mighty. With or without the cash prize, these folks can afford an elegant lifestyle and any meal they want.
Now, why doesn’t the show randomly select folks from the third class citizenry instead? I mean, the poor. People from the gutter. People who can’t afford a three square meal. People who go out each day thinking
“Which food I fit use this N100 wey dey my pocket buy wey go belleful me till tomorrow?”...... People waiting to be thrown out of their apartments by their landlords for failure to pay their rents. And of course, they have to be talented to be on the show.
There are talented people roaming the streets looking for a labour site where they can lift blocks for peanuts. Talented rappers, singers who if can get money for steady studio sessions, they’d drop back to back hits that would shake Nigeria and abroad.
Academic gurus too who can build techs that would foster Nigeria’s growth. I personally have a friend who I can argue with anybody is actually on same level with Messi(Ronaldo is still my fav tho) but because he doesn’t have the right support and push?
He’s still playing monkey post on the streets! The fucking streets!
Why doesn’t BBN pick these kinda people to be in the house? Why always the rich? Why do we have to spend hours glued to the TV watching rich people change clothes in a day whilst forming unnecessary accents.
We know a lot about rich people already and their day to day activities. We see it everywhere. On IG, Twitter and the rest.. Let’s give the poor a chance to be heard and seen on Live TV too. I’m tired of watching one of the housemates tell the other about how her first car broke
down and she had to use the second one to go to a party. I wanna hear stuff like “Guy I bin dey soak garri when dem call me say I don qualify for BBN o!”..... Such that, when one of the housemates emerges as the winner, he wouldn’t have to soak garri without sugar again or worry
about getting thrown out of his house. Not some rich guy who would use the N65m to buy another car to add to the fleet of cars in his garage already.
The poor deserve privileges too.
I know most of y'all will say Big Brother Naija is not created for empowerment or poverty eradication
Just for fun n to make profits

Please think again...🤲🏿🖤
