I absolutely love the new episode of @ShelfLovePod with @tashalharrison !
The distinctions Tasha makes between audience are so important. The way romance writers, readers, reviewers and critics ignore the diversity of romance readers is ~ interesting (i.e. insidious and harmful)

I also really appreciate Andrea breaking down her own history as a reader. I’ve said it multiple times on here but if more romance writers, readers and reviewers were self-reflective and self-critical we would be able to have better conversations about romance across the board.
I have more thoughts about this episode but I’m caffeinating atm.
Also Jack was talking about this exact issue in the middle of the damn night
but there is a clear difference between writing for or to center a Black audience and...not. And we can usually tell the difference. https://twitter.com/jackharbon/status/1287998071343849473?s=21 https://twitter.com/jackharbon/status/1287998071343849473
