As you will come to find out, most of life is simply one big transfer.

Everything is being transferred at every second & the goal of each transfer is to maintain as close to the original amount of value in the initial transfer.

Energy, Time, Money. These are the main 3 mediums.
When we purchase food, we are transferring time that was transferred to secure money into a form of energy. The goal is to make sure that the transfer of money that was obtained with time is worth the energy or kCals that you're getting in food.
Every energy input requires a successful output or it becomes deemed an objective failure.

You can have delayed output of course, but then that delay had better be worth the investment of time and energy transferred into it by some sort of compounding effect.
There are also transfers of energy with the output being a greater efficiency of future transfers of energy & money such as working out....

That is an example of a worthwhile delayed output.

The examples are endless, but all are governed by a universal rule of thermodynamics.
There is no possible way to make a transfer without some loss.

We can in the end reduce these losses by becoming more efficient in our transferring prowess, but in the end, the universe always takes its due.
