Right-wing: "Moon Jae-in is a commie who's about to surrender to N Korea!"
Tankies: "US imperialism is militarizing S Korea that yearns to be united!"
Moon admin: "lol we can build ICBMs now"

I've been saying for a while - people are completely sleeping on how much this admin has been building up S Korea's military capabilities. They are so busy worrying about N Korea's shitty missiles program that they pay no attention that S Korea is building aircraft carriers.
Time to revisit this 2017 interview with Kim Hyun-chong, Moon Jae-in's national security advisor. https://news.joins.com/article/21802155 Kim anticipated Trump admin would try to raise S Korea's contribution for stationing US troops. In return, Kim wanted five things from the US:
1. Nuclear waste reprocessing
2. USD-KRW currency swap
3. Nuclear sub construction
4. Tech transfer for satellite launches
5. Unlimited ranges for S Korean missiles
With the new missiles pact, Kim now has 2, 3 and 5. Keep watching this space, because this admin ain't stopping.

Continuing on my rant from yesterday - it's just criminal that the foreign press in Seoul spends no time covering Kim Hyun-chong, who might be the most important figure in S Korea's foreign policy today. His 2017 interview is basically the blueprint for this administration. https://twitter.com/AskAKorean/status/1287921443406258176
Kim has a very interesting resume. Son of a diplomat, attended US prep schools, graduated from Columbia Law School. Stints at white shoe law firms in NY, then jumped to S Korean gov't to become the leading trade negotiator for the liberal admins.
