When I was younger in 2009, I had this phone which could only download one song and that song was Day n Nite, I used to listen to that song all the time, mainly because when I was out it’s all I could listen to, but I still loved the song and never got tired of it
jump a couple months and I got the album, I listened to that album a ton, I was also really young at the time so I didn’t understand all the lyrics in the album at the time but some lyrics did stand out to me, “in my room by myself, why he by himself?”
I did have some family problems going on at the time so maybe that’s why I felt a connection to some of the lyrics in the song.
jumping a few years a head to 2014/2015, my mental health was really bad, one night I was in my room feeling really shitty and I saw my motm cd and I’m not sure why but I decided to listen to it, and it really helped me, I felt like I related to that album a lot more than I did,
then in 2016 I started using drugs a lot and going to random house parties cause I didn’t know how to properly deal with my mental health, then one day I was at a random house party and the remix to pursuit of happiness started playing
and something about that song hit me hard, to the point that I went out and got help but I also decided to listen to that album before going into rehab and it helped
fast forward to today I now try and listen to this album every day because it’s helped every time, and I don’t know where i’d be without this album, I also love the production cause if I didn’t I wouldn’t have been able to listen to it as much as I did
also sorry this is depressing and you just wanted a review on production and lyrics, which I also love from this album, also sorry it’s so long and I understand if you didn’t read it all, but also thanks if you did
because I speak of mental health in this I’m gonna post an nhs link, which shows charities and places you can contact https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/stress-anxiety-depression/mental-health-helplines/
