(4/24) CFWIJ extends solidarity to over 70 journalists at Index, who resigned to protest the sacking of their editor-in-chief Szabolcs Dull. We also produced a list to show you the 20 women journalists among this group, taking a stand against unreasonable power over the press.
(5/24) Deputy editor-in-chief @munkvera who called the arbitrary dismissal a “clear interference” had been working at @indexhu for 18 years. A professor of journalism and media studies, Veronika's exit is a great loss for the media outlet.
(6/24) Journalist Hollik Ágnes was working at @indexhu video team as a technical assistant. She also received a Special Award from the Croatian Ambassador in September 2012. She is one of the 70 journalists to resign from @indexhu.
(7/24) @MariannaBiro covered politics at @indexhu since January 2019 during which time she published 1416 articles. Priorly, Marianna worked at @nepszava and @168_Ora. We need the experience and knowledge of journalists like her.
(8/24) Arnótszky Janka Judit was a proofreader at @indexhu’s blog. She is one of the 20 women journalists who resigned from @indexhu to protest the political interference within Hungary’s media.
(9/24) Ajpek Orsolya was a photographer at @indexhu covering the beauty of Hungary. She worked as a photojournalist for http://Terasz.hu , http://ZOOM.hu , then Napi Gazdaság, @168_Ora, and Weekly Answer priorly.
(10/24) Bozsó Ági was a trainee at @indexhu covering politics, she contributed to 221 articles for the website. She is also one of the 20 women journalists who resigned to protest the suppression of press freedom.
(11/24) Egyed Anna was in charge of @indexhu’s social media accounts. She had been working with the team as a project manager for three years. Previously, Egyed worked for @origo_zrt and @hvg_hu.
(12/24) Cser Ildikó was the editorial secretary at @indexhu. She has previous experiences at @hvg_hu as a reporter. The veteran journalist resigned to protest the dismissal of their editor-in-chief.
(13/24) Előd Fruzsina’s was the assistant editor for economy pages of @indexhu. She had been working as a journalist @indexhu since May 2015. She stood against the pressure on independent journalism just like her colleagues.
(14/24) Csatári Flóra was covering politics at @indexhu for only four months but had published 567 articles for the website. She has a doctorate degree and priorly worked at Eurosports Hungary and http://xn--hosszabbts-04a6l.huhosszabbítás.hu  for five years.
(15/24) Demeter Ági was responsible for back-office at @indexhu. She has taken a stand against the arbitrary decision by the management.
(16/24) Janecskó Kata has been covering politics at @indexhu for five years where she worked on over two thousand articles. Her contribution to journalism in Hungary and her firm stand against pressure on the media is significant.
(17/24) Pintér Luca was a politics reporter at @indexhu. The seasoned journalist worked for http://Zoom.hu , Ringier AG, and Magyar televízió in her 10-year-long career and decided to stand in solidarity with her team against Dull’s arbitrary dismissal.
(18/24) Marjanovic Mira was a video trainee at @indexhu. She helped capture the life in Hungary in all aspects and stood firm against the management’s decision.
