2/3 Exact culpability unclear, but sources in Darfur suggest the former regime's counter-revolutionary Islamist forces are involved as they work to undermine the transitional government.
3/3 New militias already been formed to defend land taken from displaced populations during Darfur conflict as they anticipate returns of IDP and refugees driven by impending Juba peace agreement. In this vein, 20 returnees killed on 24 July in Aboudos, S. Darfur.
