Andhra politics has taken an interesting turn with Somu Veerraju being appointed as BJP AP Chief.
Clearly BJP has gone for reclaiming the Kapu+Raju+Brahmin+Vyshyas combo that it successfully engineered in 1998 Lok Sabha elections
Andhra can be divided into 3 regions
1/n
North Coastal -68 Seats Srikakulam+Vijayangrm+Vizag+EG+WG

South Costal-55 Seats Krishna+Guntur+Prakasam+Nellore

Rayalaseema- 52 Seats
Kurnool+Ananthapur+Chittoor+Kadapa!

BJP-Janasena have the strongest bet in North Coastal... Where as of today it is
2/n
Surely in a position to win 20-25 seats... They should try getting leaders like Ram Mohan Naidu and Ashok Gajapati Raju to ensure this number can hit 40... If BJP indeed is successful in installing a CM in TELANGANA then who knows this figure could hit 50 too...3/n
In South Coastal, the alliance should focus on urban centres and get few TDP leaders. Winning even 10 seats in South Coastal is a big achievement as the caste arithmetic is no longer in favour of them...YCP is deeply entrenched in Prakasam and Nellore districts 4/n
In Rayalaseema BJP has to work on Kurnool and Ananthapur using Yedyurappa and Karnataka leaders. Win temple towns like Mantralayam, Srisailam, Tirupati, Kalahasti... Get leaders like Payyavula... Try touching double digits here... Unlike TDP which is hated by Reddy's BJP does 5/n
not carry such baggages... They can easily attract such vote Bank in Rayalaseema... Overall 30% vote share with anything between 50-65 seats would be a huge statement for the Alliance... @Naveen_Guptaa
