3. In their well-meaning attempt to criticize and counter American hegemony and Cold-War-style propaganda tactics, we now see Western leftists questioning the very validity of claims made by Hong Kong/Uyghur/Tibetan/Chinese dissidents in the first place. /2
4. Our movements are now left stuck between two impossible situations. We cannot convince the Left, and the power vacuum has been filled by the Right. Our movements are stuck with opportunistic leeches as “allies” - and tragically, the Left believes these clowns represent us. /3
5. The inability of the Western Left to separate American imperial interests from the (hijacked) interests of real people on the ground has lead to a slew of genocide denial, broken solidarity, harmful generalizations.

7. Hong Kongers must see that these “practical” alliances will only bear rotten fruit. Many of us will turn the other way & continue to stand with other oppressed people of the world, including the ultra-exploited Chinese labourers. We MUST continue creating new solidarities. /6
8. Western leftists should think critically about their own centering of America in their understanding of China. Just because America is talking about the Uyghur genocide, doesn’t mean it’s not true.

9. Neo-nazis, American imperialists, and expat weirdos can fuck off entirely. When you use *our* movements for *your* political gains, don’t think that you’ve fooled us all. We aren’t ignorant. We know all about the West’s violent anti-Muslim, anti-Black, anti-Asian history. /8
