Lord I have tried so hard to see things from Amber’s side, but as someone who has experienced domestic abuse I cannot relate to ANY of what she says. She is someone who probably read a few books about DV but has no real understanding of it to make her claims believable.

She says she “hid it from everyone” because that’s what DV victims do. But she told everyone in her circle- Rocky, iO, Musk, mom, dad, Melanie, Josh, Savanna, like fucking everyone! Via text— on the same phone that Depp allegedly didn’t allow her to keep a passcode on.

She says she was isolated, but Depp allows all her friends to live nearby and they had a master key. Depp left her alone so she was free to do what she wanted. She clearly had time to connect with men like Musk, Franco. As someone who has experienced DV this does not compute

Also I still don’t understand a lot of the dynamics. Is he an abusive controlling asshole? Or a drug addict who was only violent when he was high and doesn’t remember it? He comes across as real passive aggressive people pleaser according to her so this doesn’t add up

I cannot speak for all DV victims as my story is definitely unique, but Depp I can relate to. He can’t pinpoint all her acts of violence because it was so frequent.

At the time when she came out with everything, he was DYING for it to go away. He didn’t want to go to court with his story because it’s fucking humiliating to admit. He sat on those horrible tapes for years because he didn’t want the world to hear Johnny Depp being abused
